Dyson's latest 2 Tier RadialTM cyclones have been re-engineered to be smaller. Every angle and dimension of the cyclone system has been concentrated without compromising on performance. Dyson engineers have also made many iterative changes to reduce sound levels and imrpove sound quality wihtin the cyclones.

High-speed, power-dense motor spins at up to 101,000rpm. Seven years in development, the Dyson digital motor V4 is one of the world’s smallest fully-integrated 1150W motors. By integrating its mechanical, electrical and aerodynamic systems, Dyson engineers have created an efficient, power-dense package with a diameter of just 85mm. DC63 has only been made possible by the development of this motor.

The floor tool has been enginnered to improve pick-up and sound quality and reduce weight. Simplified airways decrease noise levels and a self-tightening mechanism keeps the brush bar stable. A dust capture channel prevents dirt from escaping back to the floor, increasing pick-up. With carbon fibre filaments to remove more fine dust from hard floors, and nylon brushes for deep carpet cleaning.

With a body weight of approximately 2.75kg, DC63's lightness and small size has been made possible by the development of the Dyson Digital Motor V4. It is easy to carry up the stairs and from room to room. It also has a small, compact shape for convenient storage.
